Brain Training Program
Helping children build stronger skills for learning, attention, communication, regulation, and everyday life.
At Crystal Ladder Learning Centre, our Brain Training Program combines innovative, evidence-informed technologies and therapeutic activities to support each child’s individual needs.
Where we start
Every child begins in the same place: with someone taking the time to understand them.
An individual assessment
The program begins with an individual assessment, which helps us better understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and areas that may benefit from additional support.
A plan made for your child
Based on the assessment and your child’s goals, we create a personalized Brain Training plan and select the combination of activities that are most appropriate for them.
Adjusted as they progress
As your child progresses, their program can be adjusted to continue meeting their changing needs.
What Brain Training may include
Your child’s program may include a combination of the following. Not every child uses every one — the mix depends on the assessment and their goals.
Neurofeedback
A non-invasive training approach that provides the brain with real-time feedback about its activity. Through repeated training sessions, children practice maintaining more regulated patterns of brain activity.
Photobiomodulation
A non-invasive light-based technology that uses specific red and near-infrared light wavelengths, delivered through specialized devices designed for use around the head.
Where it is used, it is incorporated as a complementary part of a child’s individualized program, alongside neurofeedback and other activities selected for their needs and goals.
Interactive Metronome
Combines rhythm, movement and timing exercises. Children practice matching their movements to an auditory beat, helping develop timing, coordination, attention, motor planning and rhythm.
ForBrain
A specialized auditory feedback headset that provides real-time feedback through the child’s own voice. It can be incorporated into activities designed to support auditory processing, listening, speech and language-related skills, attention and self-monitoring.
Tomatis and structured listening
Auditory-based activities may be incorporated into a child’s program to provide structured listening experiences. The specific approach and activities are selected according to the child’s individual goals and needs.
Interactive brain activities
Engaging games and activities — including light-up BlazePod reaction pods — designed to encourage children to practice skills such as attention, memory, processing speed, problem-solving, visual skills, coordination and cognitive flexibility.
More than one approach
The strength of our Brain Training Program is the ability to combine different activities and technologies based on the individual child.
Depending on the assessment and goals, a program may include neurofeedback, photobiomodulation, BlazePod reaction activities, Interactive Metronome, ForBrain, listening activities, brain games and other complementary activities.
A program that grows with your child
Brain Training is not a fixed program. We monitor how your child responds and progresses throughout their sessions and make adjustments when appropriate.
Our goal is to create a structured, engaging and individualized experience that supports your child’s development and helps them build skills they can use in everyday life.
Every brain is different. Every child deserves an individualized approach.
